lapidato: who said anything about them playing tracks from Ineffable mysteries in 2008?

It just so happens that they did, 3 or 4 tracks. The gig was great, as it was this year.

mine came yesterday!

cleaning house today for a long listening session tonight. thanks again simon and all others at twisted, waiting for this package was like waiting for christmas.

F*KING AMAAAAAAZZIIIINNNNGGG DVD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! this concert was AWESOOOOOOOMEEEEE!!!!!!!!!!
I’d never expected shpongle live to sound so goood, so incredible, so… ineffable…. there are no words to describe this performance….the live arrangements are amazing, its so cool to hear how they twisted the songs to have a real “live” taste to it, and not just playing them exactly the same way they sound on CD…. amazing an unexpectected electric guitar on “Divine Moments of Thruth”, incredible vocals by Michele and Hari Om in “Star shpongled banner” (those realle sounded astonishing, so cool, so…. woow… and still surprisingly different and surprisingly similar to the original track…)

OK the ONLY thing I missed from the live show was having real live brass instruments, it would have been great (*greater*) to have real trumpets and stuff for Dorset perception, When Shall I be free, My head feels like a freesbee, etc….

My god I tink I’ll whatch it again…. and again… and again…. and hope one day I’ll get to see a real live from shpongle (not just DJ set)

i would have to agree, i think the only thing i found at fault on this masterpiece was no wild trumpet player.  oh to have been there and played trumpet with shpongle!

No consolation. I was thinking it is the fault of the post service here. However if it can get to the Philipines and Australia before it gets here to Sweden it raises the question has it been sent. Cloudwalker got his copy in the US the day after it was due to be sent. So one comes to the conclusion it was sent out before the 2nd November.
It’s never taken this long to receive stuff from twisted in the past and i’ve had quite a few deliveries.

I just finished my first exam today and to my surprise the CD and DVD arrived, and as I was in no mood to study, I thought, I’ll just pop it on a catch a couple of tunes before bed.

2 hours later, I am sure I have the same expression Raj has when Simon plays his final mix to him. Like a possum in headlights.

Simon and Raj, you have done the amazing. WHAT A SHOW!!!. WHAT A JOURNEY. WHAT A CONCERT.

From the get go, I could not wipe the smile from my face. What a band. Some of the scenes that stuck in my head. When Si was standing between the 2 girls playing guitar, The shpongle mask on the floor next to the cello. (so Mozart, why I do not know???) and of course the Brazilian dancers,    . I cannot contain my excitement. How you translated shpongle so well to live BAFFLES me. the journey was so pagan. And just when you think it is finished. The encore to end all encores. Beginning with the upside down tin drum thingy. Man does that dude have quick fingers or what. right through to T… and then…

... BREATH!!!

I am so disappointed I missed that show and to everyone that went. (including the infamous V, who seems to turn up at every shpongle show) 

Gentlemen, You have outdone yourselves. Yet again!!!

When are you bringing that genius to Oz… PLEASE!!!
