“It is by attempting the impossible that we reach the highest level of possible”  probably misquoted, and by a great British author, I will find the right reference..

There’s so many good parts to choose from but one that comes to mind is the 2-3 minute intro to Invisible man in a flouresent suit.  The programming that must have been a real head cruncher and Simon P had said that he had worked on it solidly for a few days.

The moment 2:32 of DMT where the vibraphone triplets in 4/4 suddenly twist the groove into 6/8. I’ve been a shpongle fan ever since I first heard that.

Oh yes!!  Same here.

My favorite Shpongle part and also my absolute favorite moment in music…ever :

When the bass/groove returns at 0:44 in Schnitzl’d In The Negev.

Just when I thought I was on the way down…this sent me right back up LOL

My favorite part is the intro and first two minutes of Star Shpongled Banner, however, the entire song in and of itself is without definition, utterly enthralling in every depth. Whenever I hear this song, it makes me twisted in the pit of my stomach as only the most perfect song can. It’s taken me on many journeys, and the sensations and emotions that it awakens within me are measureless. My body dissipates into audio ribbons of unending extensions whenever I find myself lost within the rythms and intricacies that only come from Shpongle’s Star Shpongled Banner. Thank you Simon for allowing me to feel such completion within music…

Me too. Everytime it kicks me in to the song with the same energy.. Loving also the vocoded vocals not to mention THE utterly beautiful cello! Awesome.

I’ve always loved those sharp, twisty synth leads/solos from Simon.. Korg MS-20 I believe? It’s something special for a synth geek like me..

I had to repeat the first 10 seconds of “Before the Big Bang” a few times before I heard the rest of the song, cause it was such a trip. I also love the random samples shpongle throws into it’s songs like in “I Am You” the voice goes to say, “I always take that extra too much.. Oohhh my grandma would kill me!” Haha. Shpongle just has the god particle within their band that lends them the divine inspiration to put out some seriously badass vibes!
