Hey Fellas,

Tried a quick little experiment today
Did some abstract playing on my upright piano and recorded it.
Reversed it…pitchshifted it…slapped on some glitching effects.
The end result was pretty cool, I think. 

Like they always say…
“It is what it is”

Pretty cool indeed!  Aside from a section ~37sec that is a little too glitchy for my ears I liked it….intro material?

I like it… i often use the same techniques myself, but i particularly like your glitching FX…. 
it’s also nice to leave some of the notes forwards too…

Its pretty good, the glitches have to be sanded down a little bit. I do love the piano reverb and sound at 1.06.

I thought the actual melody was very beautiful.  I would love to hear in the context of a whole track or even more experiments.

CW any chance you can clip the original say at the end as a reference?
Also as Simon says it would be cool to have some forward notes. Mix it up a little. However a cool clip.

The project file was…deleted. 
Just an experiment, so no big loss.
This morning was the first time I tried micing an upright piano for an…uhh…‘actual track’.
This was just the “test warm-up” recording with one of the mics.

More tinkering and experiments to come.
They’re what seem to keep me going during the long and tedious process of making full length songs…

It does. CW produces some really good stuff. You also Jazzah. You have some really great stuff going on and I hope you can continue with it. I can only hope it turns out good for you dude

It reminds me of something that Benn Jordan would do for interlude tracks (or in some cases “main event” tracks such as “Untitled Tapes” off of his Reunion album)
