The observation of life in the span of a week. The video is 7 minutes long (7days) and 30 seconds to each minute is dedicated to night(dream) and day. The idea for the houses stem from cookie cutter houses. The houses were built out of a thin wood, and the front yard/street was modeled out of foam and then coated with a plaster mix. The grass was achieved using train modeling supplies.
I am highly influenced by outdated special effects, for example, miniatures being used to fool the viewer into believing in a false scale. My videos start out with an idea, which usually involves the construction of a miniature set whether it is inside of a fish tank or hanging in front of a green screen. They function not only as a set for my videos but also as a sculptural piece as well.
