I live in Seattle and at this point in my Shpongle journey (been a fan since Tales of the Inexpressable) I’ve come to terms with the fact that Shpongle is most likely never going to perform live even remotely close to where I live. I’d happily fly to anywhere in California or even across the country to NY to see them as those seem to be the most likely spots in the states they’d hit, but still, I’ve come to terms with the fact that that may never happen either. But I got my new CD and DVD this last weekend and had a pretty mind altering experience watching the DVD. This has led me to expand how far I’m willing to travel to see Shpongle perform. So, my question is, I know the 2009 Roundhouse shows are just barely a thing of the past, but any idea or thoughts as to a 3rd go around at the Roundhouse for Halloween in 2010? Coming from so far away I’d need to plan somewhat far in advance for flights, hotel, and tickets so just putting some feelers out there now to see what the future holds for Shpongle live performances.

pretty sure it will happen the turn out for both nights this year was crazy! They HAVE to play next year! Plus this is really the only way Shpongle can make bank since this illegal music sharing thing started screwed it all up

Hey Psilogod, where in the world are you? I saw people in some other threads complaining about not getting theirs yet as well, I didn’t say anything because I didn’t want to upset people because I got mine already last weekend and I’m in Seattle. Did you order a t-shirt? I heard some people talking about that maybe slowing up orders. Well, whatever, I promise it’s worth the wait, the new CD is great and the DVD of the Roundhouse show last year is RIDICULOUS!

Yes I’d love to see another Roundhouse event or maybe an alnight event with Shpongle followed by Ott, Prometheus and of course Hallucinogen this would save leaving the event to go to an after party…  LOL

Not so fast .....I’m trying to get info to book Shpongle in Seattle for early spring 2010… I have a great 600+ person venue in the W. Lake Union area….If you want them in Seattle….Tell them to hit me up… Booking hasn’t gotten back at me yet…So tell them whats up…  .(JavaScript must be enabled to view this email address)

Hey JamesG,

While it is certainly commendable that you would try and book Shpongle, I would venture to say that is a little easier said than done. I don

Okay yep…..I stand corrected. I am trying to get Simon to do a Hallucinogen DJ set followed by a Shpongle DJ set…I would also be willing to Fly to London to see them both But would rather catch them in San Francisco or Los Angles as I also highly doubt we could pull them to Seattle for a full live act. I have been under the impression that the do not get to Seattle often…But I guess that inst true. Will people come to a DJ set if I can bring it?

Hey James, I would definitely come to a Simon “Shpongle” DJ set in Seattle or really anything you’d be able to book him for…Hallucinogen, Younger Brother, Shpongle…Simon is such a talented musician, I’d see him in any form he wanted if he came to Seattle, although Shpongle is definitely my favorite of his projects so a Shpongle DJ set would be my pick for a Seattle booking. I don’t know of any shows he’s done in Seattle, at least not Shpongle (a Hallucinogen show could have possibly gotten by without me noticing), but I do know that he did a Shpongle DJ set in Portland within the last couple years. So by all means, do your best to book him and I can assure you I’d show up with at least 20 other people I know of that are into Shpongle.

So I guess I just need the people in booking to get back at me…I need to bring a contract to my people so we can get started. The venue us virtually untouched for electronic music and I’m hoping to bring a big act every month…I’m sure I will be bringing Moontribe DJs from down here. Needless to say I’m really looking forward to being up there…

James, with the release of the new Shpongle album and Simon splitting time between Shpongle, Younger Brother, and Shpongle, it may be that the only way you’re going to get him for now is as part of a US tour, maybe in support of the new album. Just a thought…could be why you haven’t heard back from booking.

Cloudwalker, man that would be nice! It would be so much easier to convince my wife to let me fly down to San Fran for a Shpongle show, rather than London.
