I pre ordered the album, so i felt less bad to go download it before it came, just to listen to it, lol

HAHA! I’m speechless. At first, not concentrated and busy, i was kind of disappointed. But the first time i really listen to it, with the help of a little buzz, I realize how good this album sound. I mean, this is INTENSE! It’s simply perfect. Clearly the best posford album since the tales of the inexpressible album, and this is even better. Posford stayed into the ‘‘nothing last’’ ambience, but with a big difference. It’s more subtle: even the vocals don’t get on my nerves, put in context, they sound incredible, besides on the song unstone, but unstoned finish so strong that we finally don’t mind of the vocals.

Posford have his own style, and honestly, theres no other artist even scratching his toes. It’s almost unreal what posford is able to do; the effects are perfect, everything is where is supposse to be, nothing is too big, its still chill-out, but in a never seen before way. This album is deep! Deep in a whole new way, its dense, I can’t not imagine a better album than this honestly. Honestly, i didn’t expect something this good from shpongle new stuff, i was kind of scared actually, but im happily suprise.

After the last couple years, posford kind of disappointed me, but with Ineffable Mysteries From Shpongleland, the magic is BACK. I suck in english, so i can not express enough how this album is good. You have to listen to it to understand, but boy, this is crazy, and it will please any lovers of AYS or Twisted fans. I’m listening to it right now, and the complexity of each songs are at the peak of what’S possible to do with a computer Posford has put ALL of his knowledge into this one, and wow he knows a lot about creating different type of sounds.

same thing for me, first 2-3 days, i didn’t find it that good, then it became an album too lay down and concentrate

yes, exactly, and now, i surprise myself wanted to listen to ineffable mysteries on my bike on my way to school!! normally i listen a little bit of rock music stuff, because electronica can’t get my attention enough.

But this album

fits perfectly on riding my bike to school. Imagine going downhill with the beginning of Invisible Man In A Fluorescent Suit, CRAZY

i agree, sometimes, its unnecessary to put voice, but i guess that posford really like to play and tweak with voices, so he see some vocal’s
more like an instruments,a part of the song, like a special effect other then only being samples. Still, there’s a little bit too much
talking in the album, my opinion is that posford has a lot of fun doing voice tweaking, it’s he’s thing, Posford style, or signature if you know what i mean…

one thing I noticed is that i’m amazed by the orders of the song, and i feel that after the first song, the second song is better than the first song, then the third is better than the second song, etc, when listening the album in a whole, and after 5 song of that, i realize that this album is a big one from posford. One of the best album from Simon? maybe!!!!!!!!!!!

Indeed.  The Shpongle sound requires both of their minds, and Ineffable Mysteries From Sphongleland is dripping with their magic.  I’m in love with this album as well, the way it actually sounds is breathtaking.  So 3D (well, 4D and beyond really), so crystal…

It’s not like that… “I include him”..., instead of using the name Simon Posford use Shpongle, that’s it. It’s a band smile

couldnt agree with you more Murphy, this album is absolutly incredible.
I think its Shpongles’ best, by far. Not that the other two aren’t total masterpieces as well….....

I really like this album. I think it’s stronger than Nothing lasts really. This album is like if Tales of the inexpressible and Are you shpongled? had a threesome with Nothing Lasts and they got some crazy mixed love child together.

Nothing is something worth doing & invisible man are my favourite tracks. So emotional and strong, it’s almost overwhelming. Love the other tracks too though.

I know many people think that Tales of the inexpressible or Nothing lasts are their best work but personally I have a really deep connection with Are you shpongled? I love the sound of that album. It’s hard to grade them really.

Well, big kudos to Si and Raj either way. Thank you for sharing this brilliant, emotional and intelligent album with us!

The last track is ‘clever’ enough.
It makes you think -OK here starts the whole concept- and it closes so smoothly.
Not my fav track of the album, but it unfolds perfectly.

Now I dont think theres such a thing as a bad Shpongle album or song for that matter…. But I will say that numero 4 was a bit underwhelming for me at least when comparing to albums 1, 2 and 3. Now I could talk about the album for days, but heres a brief summary of the good and bad, my opinion of course

The Hang drum in track 3…Brilliant. Probably the most gorgeous sounding instrument on the planet, I think the song could have utilized more of the H. Drums awsome tonal ranges and sounds, but who cares its a fuckin hang drum! Hope more of it shows up in the future

No Turn Unstoned is so unique I love it. Sappy love song Shpongle style!

I Am You… my favorite song of the album hands down, for some reason it resonated so well with me the first time I heard it I actually shed a tear. Wierd. Sounds super cheesy but when listening to it and it gets halfway through to those wonderful words I feel such an appreciation for my loved ones and just life in general, uplifting to say the least.

Now As a musician and sound designer Ive always looked up to Shpongle’s magic in the studio, Posfords trickery is legendary. However I feel that there wasnt nearly as much amazing engineering and ear candy here. I hate to say it but things (sound design, not songwriting) seemed dumbed down, for instance, I know Posford is a fan of the Buffer Override effect to make glitch and stutter sounds, but man was it overused here. You got An Eventide Simon!!!! Whats with the bland glitchyness? Maybe Im just still so in awe of Nothing Lasts that I expect too much…

Lastly, and probably why this album just didnt excite me like I hoped, is that the three previous albums all perfectly paint this beautiful twisted world that is explored so well that it might as well be an actual place. Im sure people know exactly what I speak of. But this album didnt remind me of shpongleland, but a differant place with a differant vibe, less playful, bit more serious, for better or for worse.
