Native Instruments have a package called “Komplete 6” which contains Reaktor 5 along with some other progs, the price is listed @ $560 (USD).  For anyone who has used it, is it worth the money?

yes, Reaktor 5 contains dozens of instruments and tools and it sounds great. Reaktor is worth the price of Komplete alone, plus you get a bunch of other awesome things like Kontakt 4, Absynth 5, Guitar Rig, Massive, Battery 3…all top notch tools.

you really can’t go wrong for the price.

It is $499 at Sweetwater and if you are not sure on the price, they will break up your payment in 3 X $167.

for sure. Komplete is a bit overwhelming actually. There is so much content to begin with and so many instruments to toy with and learn, especially in Reaktor. I’m still getting used to it and I got it in May.

The nice thing about registering a legit copy is you can go online and download a bunch of free user Reaktor ensembles which in some cases are nicer than the ones you paid for.

I know Reason (I bought Reason 1 years ago) so hopefully that knowledge will help.  As for music itself, I know music theory (I studied piano for years).  I just want something more robust than Reason 1 and have read that Talamasca uses Reaktor.

Reason 4 is more robust than Reason 1.

Are you using another DAW for sequencing like Ableton or Cubase?

While I think you can make sequencers and such with Reaktor, it’s not super straightforward like Reason is.

Komplete is best used inside another DAW like Ableton or Cubase.

Probably the best “collection” of plugin synths out there.
You really don’t need anything else…  smile

I don’t think so…Think it’s way too overpriced. Just my two cents though..
