The Soundtrack of the DVD is exactly what we played at the show… obviously i did some proper mixing for the DVD release, which included a bit of tuning on the girls’s singing… but apart from that everything is as you heard on the night (but better mixed). The sync issues are from where the video edits were made… i noticed a couple of errors myself…. Pete told me there is a shot of him playing something that was taken from another part of the show, so the audio of what he is actually playing doesn’t match up with the video of what it LOOKS like he’s playing…. but i guess they had to do that because they didn’t have enough good shots of him… despite me spending 3 hours writing an email to the film crew before the show, detailing who would be playing what and when, i can’t believe both time Pete does a blistering guitar solo for about 2 minutes, and there’s not ONE shot of him playing either of them…. that was my main disappointment in the DVD… apart from that i think it looks good, and sounds pretty good too… it was hard to record, and the multitracks came back sounding pretty shocking, with the huge roundhouse reverb down every microphone….
The ‘low voice’ singing on Dorset Perception, which someone mentioned, is not one of the girls singing - it is Harry the Cello player… if you look carefully, he sings on 3 tracks in the show…. the voice of an angel…that has swallowed a choirboy!
