Have recently enjoyed Crash, The Escapist, Babel and White Noise. Can’t go wrong with Lord of the Rings trilogy and even a bit of Saw (guilty pleasure). Of course Apocalypse Now is a classic, 28 Days Later and ‘Control’ the film about Joy Division.

Brilliant film. Because of your list I watched Man Bites Dog and Brazil back to back last night. Does “V For Vendetta” make your list?

What did you think of Man bites Dog, Absy?

V for Vendetta… Didn’t really like it.
Had that masochistic, self-mortification thing going on there… Should have been V for Vigilante wink

K-Pax…
What I want to know is whether Verbal Kint, the Unusual, was insane or not?

It’s not my favorite film but I saw it again the other week and thought it worth a mention. Hard Candy.

I love it - one of my favourite films ever. I have seen it about ten times but your post reminded me to watch it again. It should be compulsory viewing in schools. grin

V for Vendetta… Didn’t really like it.

It is possibly a little culturally specific. Where are you from?

Haha! Yes! As an antidote to CNN.

I found the Vendetta film trite tbh… Sophist. Guy Fawkes was a Catholic whacko!

I know what you mean although I’d call it naive charm.

How about Gummo? Requiem for a Dream?

Yikes, Absy! Just had a look at Gummo on wiki…

Why don’t you put up your list?
And you got to have at least one that’s not nightmarish, ok?
