I joined this forum in search of opinions that are significant to my interests. You see, I uploaded a few of my Psybient-inspired songs to the website Newgrounds.com and it would seem that the audience I am reaching there is not quite the audience that would be able to appreciate my style. Thus, I come to the website of those who truly understand the kind of music that I listen to and creatively replicate.

There are four tracks that I would like a well-informed opinion for, and they are as follows:

Info: I have not mastered this properly just yet, but you can definitely get a feel for the way I feel about music and my talent with melodic progressions. Personal favorite.

Listen to all of them, listen to one, doesn’t really matter. Any criticism/praise would be greatly appreciated. Let me know what you think!

Quantum:

End Of Days:
First part without beat is good, atmospheric chill. A bit dark indeed. After that I feared it might go towards commercial trance too much (maybe it’s the beat) but my fears didn’t really come true The middle-end is quite psychedelic IMO.. and so happy.. OMG! It’s like you put a dozen of fluffy happy bunnies in there. Yea this is a fun and interesting track.

Love of a Shaman:
Beginning is nice but after a while it starts to sound a bit Robert Miles And I’m sorry but the violion and piano combination sounds a bit ‘cheap’ after a while… The high notes part near the end works for me though Anyway, this track is way happy again. Those high sounds with those melodies. But not really Shponglish IMO. And not really my cup of tea.

Escape from Mushroom Forest:
Hahaha.. nice start but then those high happy notes again lol. I read comments about Mario, totally right! Not bad though! It’s nice Maybe a bit too hyperactive for me though :-D

Your production and musical skills seem to be in order. Maybe you should try making a dark track, hehe. Like the beginning of the ‘end of days’ track? But that’s just my personal taste. And you said in your post something about psybient-influenced tracks but I didn’t really taste that except in the beginning of End of Days. Maybe Quantum has some more but that link doesn’t work.

I’m glad you like the darkness, as Quantum happens to be pretty dark in parts, but also somewhat remorseful.
