If music were judged on how it sounds, Shpongle would be #1.

Still the fact that Shpongle has broken through those charts gives me hope about the artistic taste of mankind

Did anyone see that Twisted Records isn’t the label though. MRI Associated Labels. Is that for distribution purposes in the US or what?

That really is great news and I hope they get plenty of live gig offers for 2010 in the US and elsewhere!!

It could be their US distributor.  In the billboard magazine they have it listed as Twisted

I’m pleased to see Shpongle getting some well deserved recognition, but I wonder how many sales it takes to make number 25 on that chart?

well it’s gotta be much more than the 600 presales Simon mentioned. I would guess its in the 5-10K units range… but who knows how those charts work.

it’s not anywhere near that… #25 in Dance/Electronic chart is usually about 400-500 units, and that includes Digital as well as CDs, if they’ve been merged

damn that sucks. It seems low considering how many top ‘pop’ acts have Dance/Electronic albums, which you think would be selling at least in margins of 10K units or digital sales.
