I probably shoudldn’t ask this but what did you exactly study to become such a fine DJ???

darn it, i meant music producer.. I mean, you can’t just have gotten to the point where you are now without proper education, or am i completely missing out??? did it all come out of nothing, i mean, did you just got into making music and got very talented//lucku on the way??? i found a school where they substitute the fine arts of electronic music making and i’m wondering you might have gone through the same phase

not studied doesn’t mean he didn’t learn. Just means he probably didn’t go to a formal school for it. It is possible for some people to teach themselves by reading books + internet + trial and error how equipment works. After that you use your ears to hear what sounds good and then the rest comes from the soul man. you have to remember Ott has years and years of experience under his belt. You don’t get that good overnight…it takes time like anything else.

my personal opinion is audio engineering school is good to understand what is going on with audio, but doesn’t really teach you how to make a song. That is something you learn on your own based on what styles you develop, preferably by learning how to play at least one instrument. Everyone is different though.

University of life!!! Spend most of your life in a darkened room playing making tracks and perfecting sound design and engineering. 101…Learning an instrument and developing rhythm chops is essential.
