Twisted 10th Anniversary Halloween Fancy Dress Ball!

Many people thought that the party in March was the 10th Birthday party. Well, we’re very pleased to tell you that it wasn’t. It was just the warm up to what is going to be happening on the 27th of October 2006.

Twisted was born in June/July 1996 so we have waited for the summer heat to settle so that we can have an indoor party without dying of heatstroke, suffocation and other indoor summer related afflictions.  We would have liked to have an outdoor party but sadly the logistics of doing this in England are beyond complicated and into the nightmarish. 

We have had to move venues from the original choice as the council have decided not to allow any more parties there.  The new venue is the Renaissance Rooms in Vauxhall.

We implore you to make an effort with the fancy dress as we will be filming a lot of the event for a special 10 year Anniversary DVD and we want it to look as good as possible and much of that relies on you!  Go down in Twisted history with the wackiest costumes and characters ever seen!  Don’t feel you have to go for the Halloween vibe, we want a good range of styles, pull out all the stops and lets make this a special evening for all of us!  We will also be having an optional mugshot for people in costumes on the door so everyone that comes and that wants to, will be part of a slideshow/gallery on the DVD to chronicle the loyal people that have made our events the occasions that they are.

Featuring Twisted, Backroom Beats, Tribe of Frog, Liquid Records, Inside-Us-All and ID Spiral.

Think I went to the Connaught Rooms for the Evening Standard job fair one year, seemed quite spacious.

Any chance of doing a limited run of large posters for the event to buy on the merchandise section since it will be such a special event??

just one request, can you put the music on in each room back to back, i dont care if the party lasts 4 days, i just dont want to miss anyones set

the green nuns, total eclipse, doof, george barker, shpongle, flexitones, prometheus, younger brother, koxobx, ott, GBU and hallucinogen all in various rooms, there is going to be some serious clashing of sets, what will we all do. you realise you may be creating a whirling dervish of stampedes of people trying to catch bits of all the different sets…..

will the tickets be pre-sold, or maybe there will be booking? how can people from other countries get them?))

I heard that after hallucinogen’s set, he will be playing a 30 minute long guitar solo.

this sounds like its going to be one of the best music events of 2006…

but is it true that hallucinogen’s set is gonna clash with shpongle’s? i sincerely hope not otherwise i may be forced to chop my body in two so that i can see them both :wink:

also are tickets going on sale in advance or will they just be on sale on the door?

The hallucinogen/shpongle clash is going to upset a lot of people thats for sure. If it is true of course. The solo isn’t true.

Hello again…

firstly… an apology… I got the date wrong!  Its on the 27th of Oct and not the 28th of Oct.  Its the Friday and not the saturday.  (more time to recover)

We don’t know about set times yet… the statement I made before about SHpongle and Hallucinogen playing at the same time was to gauge the public reaction to the idea.  Sure it would be annoying to miss either of them but it would prevent the dancefloor crush that happened at the last party.  The main floor is twice the size this time so we should be ok to have both at different times. 

What is possible is that we will have Shpongle very early in the evening to encourage people to get there early and get stuck in from the start. 

We have another surprise which we will announce soon…

till then… make your preparations… start looking at the flights to London and accomodation and booking time off… don’t book anything till we fully and finally confirm the venue which should be very soon.

Agreed…Correct date or at least some sort of response (and an update of the front page which still states that the date is november 3rd) would be very welcome…

The main problem of getting on the party for russian people is to get visa to your country.

Can you give any advises how to solve this trouble?
