Alright, recently I have been making playlists on my computer like crazy. Right now I am working on one called Dancing in the Sun on Acid.

I noticed that because of the very similar sounds, the band Animal Collective fits in very well with Hallucinogen. They both have very organic and spacey sound, which when played together, it’s almost like they are battling. Also, Hoopy Frood sounds great with Shpongle as well.

I need to find MORE music to play with Twisted music! It’s like this addiction I have going on now…

What does everyone else play to complement their Twisted Music?

-Ozric Tentacles (Psychedelic Space Rock)

-Eat Static

-Klaus Shulze + Pete Namlook : “Dark Side of the Moog” (I think there are 11 cd’s in the series). Here’s a link to one of my favorites: http://www.amazon.com/Dark-Side-Moog-5/dp/B0000DJUSU/ref=pd_sim_m_3

-Brian Eno (Very ambient, but really good)

-Jam & Spoon (I think they may have influenced Simon’s Hallucinogen work)

-Moby “Ambient” (I don’t care for most of Moby’s newer stuff but the “Ambient” album has always been an electronic favorite of mine) Link: http://www.amazon.com/Ambient-Moby/dp/B000001UTK/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=music&qid=1265521968&sr=1-1-spell

-I hate to mention Infected Mushroom and Twisted in the same sentence but Infected does put out some pretty good music (especially the first few albums IMHO) so I guess I’ll mention them.

That’s just a few on my list…

A great place to come across new music (similar to Twisted) is on some of the Internet radio stations like:

Awe, The Egg, I love them, I think they are already touched by Twisted (benji produces them iirc). All these lot hang out together, it’s brilliant.  Shri would maybe fit in too.

I was thinking about old composers that would fit into Twisted only an hour or so ago, Debussy and Satie wouldn’t get kicked out of a jam with them smile

Warp Technique is trippy as hell, as are Third Ear Audio and Bluetech. I challenge anybody to listen to these artists and not find something they haven’t heard before.
