Hey everyone! New here.

I was wondering what exactly the bonus material on the Shpongle live DVD consisted of? I am referring to the following:

Shpongle Interview (what do they discuss?)
Shpongled with Raja Ram (what happens here?)
Event Time Lapse (and here?)
Live at Rehearsals (what are they like?)
Raja’s Extra (what’s this?)

The lack of reviews on the internet means I can’t really find much information. Thanks for any clarification.  grin

Shpongle interview- lots of stuff, sweaty headphones for one. Fabulously entertaining and lengthy interview.
Shpongled with Raja Ram- a look into Raja’s private life/pad, absolutely one of the most uplifting, inspirational interviews ever, the guy’s amazing.
Event time lapse- what it says, kinda meh.
Live at rehearsals- a grainy little shot at a studio, shows you just how much prep goes into a show like that. Features the hang drum solo from Nothing is Something Worth Doing.
Raja’s extra- um, I forget!
Easter egg- a nice clean version of the animated Shpongle tale about chimpanzees, inveterate morons, pubic hair trapped in amber and boxed contortionists in rural Russia.

Ok, just checked it out, Raja’s extra is more chillin’ in Raja’s joint. Honestly they should just do a “Musings from Raja Ram” video…

Brilliant, thanks. My friend used to have this DVD, but he lost the disc before he watched the bonus material.  shut eye Not very clever, I know. Regardless, he ripped the main concert onto his hard drive (and what a concert it is) - do you think it would be worth buying the DVD for him as a birthday present, just for the bonus material? Or even for myself? I can watch the concert whenever I want via him, so I don’t know whether or not it’s worth shelling out

Hey Sheeno, all I can say is that I really wanted to pick up the Twisted 10 Year Anniversary DVD at the same time- sold out! Fortunately a buddy has it, I’ve seen it, it’s excellent, but it’s done. Shpongle Live at the Roundhouse 2008, twice as polished production, and don’t forget the stunning animated opening sequence! You’ll be kicking your ass in five years saying “I shoulda picked it up when I had the chance…”

The live rehearsals of Nothing is Something Worth Doing is really worth it. The way the hang drum, the percussion, the drums and synthi-fx build up together is fascinating.

Thanks for the advice everyone. Jahful, you persuaded me in that I will be kicking myself if this goes out of print and I never got a chance to buy it. I’ll put in my order now. smile
