I was wondering if I can get any insight into what schools and education the twisted crew have. Detail would be appreciated.

Wouldn’t surprise me if they didn’t do well in school at all. Lots of the truely great artists “fail” in that department. Tarantino quit high school. Chess genius Bobby Fischer quit school at the age of 15 because he “didn’t see the point”. I think many of those that are really good at what they do don’t really care much about school and beyond, if the speciality they are good at doesn’t require the usual academic path.

Or… Simon and Raja and Benji and all those people at Twisted were really good or simply ordinary students and went to college or a university and all that. I believe Raja mentioned something about attending classes at a university in New York on the Shpongle DVD. I might be mistaken, though.

In any case, I also believe that school, high school or college has nothing to do with the supreme skill of creating great music that these artists undoubtedly possess. Nothing at all.

oh oh  Gnothi Seuton, Cyclops…

Hi, Tapioka smile

Public education doesn’t teach anything… For e.g. people think innoculations help prevent cancer. And I mean highly educated ‘doctors’ think this.  They’re in the wrong ward if you ask me…

(Does anyone here know about the pressure and displacement of gases? She would ask such a question in true seriousness. And when the audience responded, ‘No, no, we don’t.’ she would say, ‘Then I can say anything I want. true?’ And indeed she would go ahead and say anything she wanted.

‘Does anyone know anything about the retina of chimpanzees? No?’ And she would say barbarities about the retina of chimpanzees.)

Really? This is your response to Tapioka’s helpful and insightful post? I mean… REALLY!? How incredibly hypocritical of you, Panoptes.

Anyways Raja Ram studied flute at Melbourne Conservatory I think…
In terms of regular academics I have no idea.  It wouldn’t make a difference to me regardless.

Didn’t Raj study jazz in New York and flute in Melbourne?

I’m not interested where they went to school or education, sorry but what a pointless subject.  Fair enough asking about musical education but apart from Raj who I think was classicly trained I’d probably assume that they sat in their bedrooms and practiced.

I’m sure Posford once said in an interview something like ‘the more I practice the better I get’.

I wonder what Benji, Simon and Ott have for breakfast?
