They must have messed up something when they did the maintanance last week. Last I checked the count was around 995 or something right?

Last time I saw it, it was at 993, but I guess you could be right.

Shame on the person who destroyed this for everyone who play fair, I was indeed looking forward to this album.

Well I doubt someone had the patience to register more than one, I think that one time is hard enough..

I’d love to hear a new Hallucinogen album.  As others have stated, as long as its anything Simon related, I will be ecstatic.

Ahh actually your right I see there isn’t a poll on this thread, must be another one elsewhere.  Not to worry I’m sure will grab Simon P’s attention..

I think the prospect that there’d be 1000 votes by (at the latest) spring next year freaked Simon out so he got the poll removed.

Probably the only reason he agreed to this all was because he thought it would take years or for ever (hence the comment of “i’ll probably have finished not just the 3rd album but also the FOURTH!”).

Guess Hallucinogen is still more popular then Simon thinks. (“My minority complex is not as bad as yours”)

Technically/planning wise I don’t think it would work very well to release a 3rd Hallucinogen early next year, as there is probably a plan to promote the new Younger Brother format all summer by touring, festivals and such. Also there’s the matter of pressure, expectations and all that. (can’t do the old Hallucinogen stuff (dated), can’t go too far away from it (or its not Hallucinogen) plus a decade of rising expectations)

well judging the stagnation of new votes i highly doubt that the one thousand votes would have been reached pretty soon.
i think the more probable explanation for the removal of the poll is that some wiseass somehow (maybe a hack) got the poll to reach close to the thousand..
anyway i’d be pleased to hear a statement from the official guys so to stop the rumourmill.

i imagine it was just a glitch, the site was down for a couple days. it may have not been backed up for some reason. id think simon would say no if he didnt wanna do it.

It ain’t a rumor…it’s a plain sabotage…=P

Going back a few years when you looked at the live bookings section there were always Hallucinogen gigs happening, now there’s hardly any..

I guess if he isn’t doing any new material he’s not going to get bookings (obviously), a new album would probably shake up the scene a bit.

Seems to me the twisted guys are constantly on tour, and since Simon appears to have a hand in everything twisted I bet he is the busiest of them all. I would not worry much, I suspect these guys will be either performing or making new stuff as long as they have braincells
