My girl has preeclampsia and has to deliver 10 weeks early. All the signs point to everything should be ok. The baby is doing good at the moment but it can’t stay in the womb as the placenta isn’t right. So soon it won’t get nutrients and oxygen.

So it looks like saturday or sunday that this is going to happen. Still in shock. Wasn’t expecting this until august and now it’s dawninng on us that we’re going to be parents. It’s going to be a rough ride but I believe that it’ll turn out all good.

Thanks. I’m sure it will go good. Of course there are chances at things will go not so well. The doctor spoke to us today and told us what could possibly go wrong. They have to cover all angles I guess. We are going for an ultrasound tomorrow and they’re going to check the umbilcal cord and the nutrition level. It’s on the borderline now so if it’s worse then tomorrow they’ll take the baby out.
We were up in the premature ward today to check it out. We could be there for a 2-3 months after this. We saw a child that weighed 700 grams only but was breathing on it’s own. Yet there was a 1,3kg baby who needed support, so we just have to wait and see.

I’m going for a boy.

Bad idea. From what i understand of parenting…
you’re suppose to calm and comfort the baby, not make it cry.

But more importantly, have you decided on any names?
