Yipeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee. It’s a beautiful baby girl. born 19
June 2010. She weighs 817 grams/1lb 13oz in english. Small but strong and beautiful.
The next few days will up and down but now she is doing good.

It’s something else. It’s surreal. So hard to describe the emotions with words. It’s everything wrapped up and stuffed into you which then explodes and creates a feeling of such joy and love. Something along those lines but more deeper

CW..The first week has been quite hectic and it has actually felt like a year. Not only was our girl laying in the baby ICU ward in the premature department my girl also had 2 surgeries within 5 days. First came the emergency c section to deliver the baby. 10 weeks early. Then came surgery because of ileus. Intestinal obstruction: blockage of the intestine (especially the ileum) that prevents the contents of the intestine from passing to the lower bowel.
But after all that we are now in a family room at the hospital and will probably be here for the next month at least. Athena is still in an incubator but that is just to keep the warmth and moisture. She is breathing and doing everything really great. She has a good set of lungs on her. Shpongle vocalist in the making LOL

I’m actually in the process of writing a blog of her adventures. It only has the delivery up at the moment. Time has been an issue lately.

Anyway take it easy all.
