Well today we took out the catheter from the umbilical cord and was able to have Athena on our chests. First mum took a turn and after we fed her I thought why not try some music. So I hooked up the speakers and we thought the first track we played to her should be should calming and beautiful. So the track that I had already had in mind was Ott’s the Queen of all Everything. It was perfect, she loved it and was so calm. The whole scene fitted this fantastic track. Then we played her a Shower of Sparks. Once again she loved it. Then I thought i’d chance playing her some of my tracks. She actually seemed to really dig them. Then I took over holding her and put on some shpongle. I kid you not she was dancing, well kicking her legs and moving her body to the beat. I played her Star Shpongled Banner, Once Upon the Sea of Blissful Awareness and Around the World in a Tea Daze. She was really enjoying it. Defintely a future twisted fan.

Ok, that is so sappy but I absolutely love it! Of course by the time she’s ten she’ll be into whatever the pop scene has to offer, but it sounds like she had a wonderful introduction to music (and a world) a bit beyond!

DiMu, let me start by saying that is just beautiful to hear. When I had a chance to speak with Ott after a show, I told him The Queen of All Everything is the most beautiful piece of music I’ve ever heard, and it is amazing that listening to it was one of the first experiences of her life. Just make sure you toughen her up to the real world, too! Also, it is really cute to hear about her ‘dancing’ to Shpongle even as a baby! I can only imagine how emotional of a moment that was for you. I am really glad to hear she is healthy and things are going well! We need more on our team (the conscious humans ).

And Jahful, I dunno… It sounds like DiMu is gonna raise his daughter right from the getgo, and she’ll be the type to scoff at those her age listening to such terrible music!

She got some Younger Brother today. She was out of the incubator again and for a 4 day old baby she can really crawl. She made her way up from my stomach to my neck in about 10 secs. I played her Last Days and we both dozed off. Both dad and daughter were really relaxed. We then woke up and I put on Are you Shpongled.

Reading what you’ve written I know I’m gonna do almost the same thing with my child one day…Thank you for the inspiration! =)
