I’d have to disagree. Do you make music? What about the production “isn’t good”... at least back up your statements with some intelligent points if you’re going to call out one of the best psychill acts ever and say they aren’t good.
I think I know what you mean when you say they’re not creative. I partly feel the same when I listen to them sober. However I think their tunes unfold into something more beautiful when you’re tripping. I guess on a trip you sometimes need a certain repetitive and basic structure in music that might seem “cheap” or “uncreative” when you listen to it sober.
I have the same feeling about most Ozric Tentacles tracks. When I’m sober, they often sound like elevator music to me, but they unfold their full potential when I listen to them tripping.
And btw. I think “Golden Cap” by Entheogenic COULD HAVE BEEN one of the greatest tracks ever, if they had taken the power and beat of the intro into the track. But then they decided to play that indian sample that doesn’t fit the track, and the beat changes into some irrelevant standard beat. Still not a bad track though. Just not as outstanding as it could have been.
