i know that before Ineffable Mysteries came out they wanted to just leave it at three album trilogy. i am most certainly glad they didnt as im sure everyone else is. im not asking for any dates or even a ball park area of when to expect it. im just wanting to know if all of us can be hoping and expecting shpongle 5 anywhere in the future?

If i’m not mistaken they both said in interviews that they more or less have to do a fifth Shpongle, and that we can expect it. They won’t rush into it though. so maybe 2012 if the earth is still there then? :p

Totally agree and think that even if it’s beyond 2012 that’s fine with me, as much as I love the project I’d like to see Simon start something new maybe very ambient or a Gargolyes album with Ott..
Wow you’re impatient , it got released not even a year ago. There’s time ahead! Usually they’ve been releasing every 3 years a new shpongle album. But personnaly I didn’t like the last one at all(am i the only one here?), so i’m not anticipating a new one at all, at least not too soon…I’m dying to hear the last YB though

You are not alone dude, I wish they never did the last album. They should have made an EP instead. But that’s just my opinion. The reason I didn’t like it is because it didn’t surprise me at all, everything was to pop-ish etc… Every other album I’ve been like “WHOAH! WTF is that sound? amazing!” now I was like: “meeeh”, so I hope they make a better album next time
