I got a bit lost reading the last few posts regarding positive/negative feedback so anyway back to the title of the thread…I’m sure God particle will be well receive, from the clip it sounds pretty weird deep and Tangerine Dream like. I do hope Simon contines to post in the forum and yes I agree the new YB will be a bold new direction but Simon’s well known for that so what’s new?
So as a bet I would say Shpongle 5 will be back end of 2012, next year 2011 I guess the new Ott will be out and possibly dare I say it new Hallucinogen back end of the year or early 2012? any bets?
On the subject of posts disappearing if the server went down I’d say they maybe got lost. I’ve deleted posts before which fall into the category of out and out disrespect/slander/abusive comments towards other forums memebers which are based on little fact - approximatley 10 in total I would think so not many, usually from trolls. Anyway just thought I’d mention that.

it’s a real privilege to have you share (some of) your thoughts with your fanbase and engage in discussions. i’m sure almost everybody active in this forum or just lurking around here appreciates this and is looking forward to what you have to say.
i have followed the preceding discussions, or at least i tried to.. probably i missed quite a bit.. anyway i have gotten to think that there’s a lack of distinction between real criticism and just-dicking-around-cause-it’s-the-internetz-and-my-mommy-didnt-lub-me-and-i-have-no-friends aka trolling.
trolling is being thrown in mindlessly and is not based on reason but on some low-level urge to bash something big just to feel a little less small in comparison. you really can’t take those serious. you probably didn’t as you keep referring to your sense of humour. british humour which mere continental mortals like me might just not grasp.. 8) anyhow any reaction to trolls (even in ridicule) is wasted energy.
but luckily there also are those folks who utter their reasonable thoughts, doing so by using arguments and explaining those. that is what i referred to as real criticism. regardless of how unpleasant it might be, it is not to be taken as a personal insult, which it isn’t.
so where i’m getting here is..: don’t waste your witty breath (or precious key strokes) on trolls and this forum will be much more rewarding (and most of all keep up creating that wonderful music (: )

Why would you go on the forum of your favorite musician and say you wish they never made an album? Or even that you wish it had been an EP? Such action is childish, and you deserved every bit of harsh tone Si gave. I think Simon’s decision not to come here anymore has absolutely nothing to do with either Hellomellow or xerxes. If he’s touchy I guess no one can do anything about it, except for all of us to be incredible ass licking machines, but it’s not the point a forum right?

P.S…. I’m pretty sure you won’t like the Younger Brother album… there’s no trance, it doesn’t sound like the 1st album or even the 2nd, there’s loads of singing and i’m really pleased with it. It’s different, you won’t like it. Don’t say you haven’t been warned!!
