I agree!! I would have thought YB was a nice variation from all the other Psy artists playing there. But I wondered myself why the promoters hired YB,when I fist saw the lineup,but I think I would have loved it,ashame I didnt get to go! Thanks for the link! Definitely looks like it was an awesome show, but I do agree the singer was pretty lousy. That wasn’t Ruu, was it?

Also, guy who wrote the OP should listen to the new YB samples on the homepage and reassess his opinion of their new direction. Sounds great to my ears

It was Ruu, but he sounded much better on the new tracks They fit his voice way better!

Personally I think YB live was one of the best acts at Ozora, along with the other Twisted artists and Ultimae artists, and some oldschool goa. Couldn’t care much for the modern progressive, full-on and dark stuff. All the same monotonous crap.

My friend is a trance DJ. I despair of the music she plays, it’s like boom boom boom boom chucka boom boom bang bang doof doof doof shouty shouty shout now that is enough to give you a bad trip, I can tell you. YB are really ace and it is totally rude of anyone to think otherwise. they’re easy on the eye and everything lol

So unnecessary that comment. YB is truly an amazing band and amazing at playing live and I find that really hard to believe that they could suck,seeing i’ve seen them a hand full of times.

This music has nothing to do on psytrance festivals it’s completely crap.
Sorry for beeing harsh but it need to be said.
Simon and Benji you have been my favorite artists since the beginning of psytrance
but you’ve definetely lost the trail.
You aren’t pink floyed nor any other rockband and you will never be.Fuck that shit!!!!
You are born to produce highclass psytrance and rock the dancefloors around the world but instead you waste your time in producing garbage,yes garbage as it’s best i can’t belive….
Nobody in this scene needs this bullshit,
Please kick that band stuff away and start again with some real psychedelic music ala Flock of bleep (what an amazing album btw.)

yb album was fantastic only full-on and always dark a so boring and its not open minded to play 24 hours 16bass…for me there can be much more different music to dance and listen on psy partys…so every one gets happy…It

Younger Brother was a brilliant duo, Flock of Bleeps has for many years been one of my favorite. I also accepted the new directions of Last Days of Gravity, the singing was weird at first, a little to romantic at times, but beautifully executed.

I was very excited to learn Younger Brother would preform live at the fountain of psychedelic trance, Ozora. But I must admit, I was one of those people who left under the concert, the singing was just to painful, and surely not what was expected.

I can understand the pressure the singer must have felt, being his virgin acceptance trip to the world psychedelic audience, when an amazing duo is reborn as a trio.

Ruu, we still believe in you, you shouldn’t worry, all musician will have a bad review from time to time, you just lucky/unlucky you landed with 2 of the most musical genius of our times, and people expect to much from you.

I like the YB sound. Interesting and pleasant tunes, rich sound, well played and produced. Someone who goes to all the trouble of regestering and logging on to forums for bashing YB music just comes across as another angry nerd on the internet. Nothing to worry about ... make more music pls

I think any person who wants to state his opinion should be allowed to!! To me it seems like many persons, notably including our forum host, are policing the opinions on this forum. That seems very wrong to my mind. The point about having a forum to discuss music, surely is that everyone should feel free to have their say without being silenced?

hush, there was a guy on the “hallucinogen new album promise” thread implying that he’d like to kill the starter of this thread. Just do what the rest does: All hail hypno hallucinogen!

By reading my post after some time i have to agree that i didn’t choosed the right words at all.Actually i feel not comfortable at all when reading….this shit;-)
I guess it was just to close after i came home from the festival and i was pissed off
really pissed off….. that i travelled thousands kilometers spend a thousand euro to see my favorites and then….starring on a rockband followed by Ibiza tec trance.
I do apologize the rude way i wrote this topic but not the content.The world needs more
real psytrance for a festivals mainfloor.
And please stop telling that there is no more room for evolvement in this kind of music.It is .
The point is that everything is getting commercial these days and everybody trys to make that kind of music which sells the best.That’s the truth.
Available at the moment on festivals:
30%Terrortrance,30%Goapop,20%Ibiza Gay House,10%Rock’n Roll,and finally 10% real acid music called psytrance.

But i don’t give up the hope
