Interesting background. Thanks. I wonder if the 2, 4, or 8, out-of-sync recording can be found anywhere…

Just to repost my thoughts on the album, nothing short of brilliant, filled with surprise and emotional depth…and agree with the previous posts about Datcha being a particularly outstanding track…makes me feel like it’s a taste of film scores to come.

Hey, Level One Elf, I get that your opening post was a semi-bitch, but maybe you could edit that frowny face into a smiley face? Looks like you’ve got the main thread on the album…just sayin’  tongue wink

For godsake it FINALLY arrived, next time I think I may just do digital wav downloads. Plus I haven’t heard even the tiniest smidge of this because I want to listen to it properly. So anyway, Canada customs sucks money balls, and I will pitch in my two cents on this album shortly (I’ve been keeping a spot open on my annual top ten because, well, I know Spike is going to kill).

I think Benji has already started on the next Prometheus album which will be ambient, there’s a new track on Soundcloud but I haven’t heard it yet…can’t wait if it’s anything along the lines of Datcha. cheese

I can’t keep up!

Spike- definitely top ten material, probably the upper echelon. I just don’t even know where to place this exceptional album. I’m a crap DJ (read Vestax A1), so maybe I’m wrong, but how can you mix this? Is it possible? It seems like it’s for home listening, but what incredibly intense music. The beginning really shows a lot of 70s progressive influence, I would guess Klaus Shulz, but I’ve seen Benji reference My life In the Bush of Ghosts, you can hear that in there a bit. The song Rush however has a clear sample or quote from a famous Steve Reich piece (did Benji retweek the “Come out to show them” sample or did he actually sample the Reichian loops?). But wow, this album, as rich as it is in influences, is beyond any, and really, really fvcking good (Fast Train maybe a bit too 70s for me, my favourite is 2010 I believe). Ok lets have some Prometheus downtempo now!
