Beats & Pieces is happy to follow up our highly successful and much praised debut release, Krusseldorf‘s Bohemian Groove album, with a digital EP dedicated to one of the high points of that album- the track 5 Pointed Star. Three of Beats & Pieces’ leading artists happily answered the call to add their own interpretations to 5 Pointed Star. Agalactia offers his trademark jumpy Celtic chill version accompanied with his beautiful flute playing; Tor.ma in Dub colours the original glitchy Scandinavian atmosphere with happy dubby beach vibes; And (val)Liam adds his daydreaming hypnotic ambient qualities. As a bonus you get a new track from the master himself, the wintery mysterious and deeply emotional Trappings. It all adds up to a beautiful journey into different realms of downtempo electronica and chillout. Another quality offering from Krusseldorf that must not be missed!

I seriously just discovered this artist ten minutes ago while looking up Lauge & Baba Gnohm. I loved the samples. To my surprise, discogs says Simon Heath’s behind this project, the same guy who’s better known as Atrium Carceri, a famous dark ambient project. The only problem with this release is that, while it is free, paypal won’t allow me to download it.
