Hy guys,

iam searching for the secret how to make fat psy kick with the Roland Sh 101.

Here are some examples listen to push/pull CPU first track of eat it:

Samy (CPU) told me this kick was made with the 101, but he won´t tell me how he did it.
I tried alot with my 101, and sure, i get a Kick out of it, but there must be some furter processing with another pitch envelope or something, can´t get close just with the 101…..
What i did:

resonance to full
OSC off
cutoff about 1/10
enelope - to cutoff mod
keyfollow off
tweak envelope to taste

can someone help me with this please,

PS: Hallucinogen and Prometheus for example use the 101 for they´re kicks too

with the envelope decay at just below it giving a beep and the sustain at 1/10 (or less even, just not 0) and the rest of the env. at 0, I get a satisfying kick this way (in ableton with the TAL-bass vst, which is advertized like a 101 emulator). Thanks for the info on the rest of the settings

But uhm, it kinda comes down to the “tweak envelope to taste” you posted yourself. Of course, I was trying for just a satisfying kick, not a particular one.
