I saw a video online of a live performance of Divine Moments of Truth. I don’t know where the video is from (a date in the beginning mentions 21 July 2001 but no location or filmer/producer), who released the video, or anything like that. What I do know is that it was very cool, and the song was performed differently from the album, fir exampke it has a really fun version of the “LSD do DMT” stuff at the end. The video itself seemed professionally produced, with different camera angles and pretty good production. More than I’d expect from some audience camera.
Is this part of some official Shpongle material that can be purchased somewhere on DVD? For example in the upcoming box set. If not, it should be! I expected Shpongle would have a visually interesting show to match their sound, and this video seems to support that theory! The glowing mask Raja Ram wears in the beginning is really cool.
Also… are there any plans to release any live Shpongle music on CD? The audio on the DMT video is OK for a video, but certainly not CD quality sound. If its representative of the quality of live Shpongle playing in general and an indicator of how much variation from album versions of songs exists in live performances, I and I’m sure many others would jump on the chance to get a CD of that sort of material!
