As has been said ‘They need to make money’ and after what some people did with the Shpongle album (putting on filesharing things) who can blame them for trying to appeal to a wider audience?
They know that people on the internet will share the files. And their choice of musical style should have nothing to do with filesharing - if NLMA becomes more popular than their earlier albums, what makes you think that Vaccine won’t be shared on the internet as well? You make it sound as if Simon, Benji and Ru are struggling so hard to earn their daily bread, that they’re forced to make music that they don’t want to make. To formulate more powerfully, you make it sound as if they have lost their artistic integrity. And if this is indeed the case, then I do blame them for that.

It is still psychedelic and beautiful. I love it and I bet you 50p the album will be splendid.
What makes you want back them up, even now that they’ve started making cute pop music?
I’ll bet you 50p against the album being splendid. The EP has lead me to believe that there will be this sort of singing ± clichéfilled production on every track. And that makes me think that either YB are so hungry, they are now queueing up in the foodline of the MTV cafeteria - or that they’ve just lost their touch…
Still, I look forward to hearing the album. Maybe it will be really good. I hope so.
