Nice work man I like it. You use Reason dont you?

I used to (the tracks off Blue Skies are Space Oceans were all done in Reason) but now I mainly use FL Studio. It’s pretty solid I guess, but it takes a lot to get over that “FL Studio colour” it seems to taint tunes with. I really wanna upgrade to Logic, hopefully that’ll happen soon! I also use Ableton Live for live shows. Thanks for listening. smile

Ejoying the deepness of ‘Azure Quantasphere’ & ‘embracing mother gaia’ (reminds me a bit of the melody of the tv series ‘Cosmos’)

IMO the “FL Studio colour” is a highly subjective topic, and has more to do with bullying and prejudice of thousands of people who keep repeating that something that used to have a funny name, just can’t be considered being a professional tool.

When people make cheap Hands in the Air trance etc. with logic et al no one ever gets the idea to mention the DAW

Only had time to sample a few out so far, but bookmarked for some heavier listening later this week.
I really liked “embracing mother gaia” and “mount kailash”.

Can embracing mother gaia be purchased or downloaded digitally?

Cheers.  Keep up the good tunes.

Embracing Mother Gaia was actually finished the other day, so it’s not on an album and it’s not for sale (yet), but perhaps on a future album/EP? No idea! Thanks for listening!

It is definitely subjective but in my opinion, my songs do have a certain taint to it after it gets rendered to mp3. The live mix vs the mp3 mix is quite different, and I think it’s due to FL Studio’s audio engine, personally. I do agree that there’s a ton of bullying with it, which is stupid considering Spor, Concord Dawn, Benga, High Rankin and a bunch of other great producers use it. Thanks for listening! smile

I like it too! I could definitely see this as a chill tent excursion at a party like Shambhala (ie. the hempiest wooliest hippy party of them all). I think the ethnic sounds like the oud or zither or whatever those are have to be treated with a lot of respect or they sound cliched, but I think you’ve done well with them.

Nice! I really like your style and the production of your music. And very lovely melodies =)

I also use FL Studio, may I ask which VST plugins you use?
Are those strings in ‘Embracing Mother Gaia’ sampled?

Greetings, djt

The strings/pad is actually just from Nexus… the ethnic instrument sound is a combination of a celtic harp and a koto, from this free VST. I really wish I could afford better VSTs and equipment, but I make with what I have! Thanks so much for listening. smile

Thanks for sharing that, sometimes free vst’s have an intresting flavour that others don’t have.

A really great free one is dBlue Glitch I even donated.
