I wish I could get my mind to blow up like that - from a stamp. I’ve been out for a couple years. Its a good thing - I’ll be a scientist very soon - but lately I’ve wanted to open my flood gates… I guess it’ll have to wait till I stop global warming smile Thank jebus for Twisted music!!

Impressive stuff and Luke Browns incredible.  I prefer painted art like Alex Grey but certainly with digital it can be mantipulated.  Another great artist is this guy from Australia Andy Thomas, very alien/organic feel to it…

Larry Carlsons work is surreal and quite deranged sometimes.. LOL I remember stumbling on it a while back and thinking it is like those strange Monty Python cartoons.

Cloudwalker I look forward to hearing how you translate Androids work into frequencies… grin

Well… for a short moment, at first I thought they were paintings and I could understand you posting this (because face it: if they were original art paintings this guy would be the next Alex Grey) but quickly it became apparent that they are just creative collages with photoshop (in which apparently high-res porn is the base). It’s good, hell… i’ve seen far worse photoshopping… but it’s not amazing or breathtaking: it’s what deviantart has servers full of.

I’m not even sure he could be considered the next Alex Grey even if they were paintings because, like a lot of this type of art, it would probably be considered derivative of Alex Grey. But it is very trippy and the artist is certainly talented, and computer manipulation is here to stay. The artists that use it have to figure out how to make money off it, I’m guessing licensing illustrations to magazines. You can’t sell it (well maybe a few posters to some neohippies). The Android stuff is quite original I think, and if he uses his own photographs as the base then that gives the work even more substance.

Computer art isn’t really my reason for “dismissing” Justin Bonnet, I’m a computer artist by profession myself (and so is me girl) - it’s more the matter of “well done, but seen it 1000 times already”.

The android stuff is BLOODY COOL and original though smile

How to make money of it? Well, stuff like this can be used for flyers, tshirts, bookcovers, advertising and the artists can get work in many fields (computer games, magazines, advertising etc.) On that topic… anyone looking for such an artist? (me needs job raspberry )
