Great to hear that you will be working with Kevin Metcalfe again. After hearing how he improved upon Rogue Bagel, (comparing The Twisted 10 Year Anniv. CD to Skylon), I’m convinced he’s got to have an extremely fine-tuned mind/ear coordination.

Just out of curiosity: which one of those do you prefer? The anniversary edit or Skylon? I have to say I disagree with guys here, its the album version which is vastly better. The 10th anniversary edit is louder (and less dynamic).

I found out today and it is so great cause I have less than a week of waiting and anticipation.

Well you could always wait for the CD version to emerge so you’ll have more time to build up the excitement That’s my dilemma at least… I’ll probably grab the download right away, but then I end up wanting the physical CD so I’ll have to buy that as well.

At the time I must have preferred the album version otherwise I wouldn’t have chosen it for the album. I haven’t heard the DVD version since I did it but I obviously wasn’t totally happy with it or I wouldn’t have remixed it.

In 2011 I have no opinion either way.

Also, since waiting for the CD might take a while, will pricing of downloads be differentiated depending on quality? I’d probably go for low-quality mp3 just to hear it asap, and then will purchase the CD when it comes out.

You’ll be able to stream it in full for free on the release date and it’ll be available as lossy and lossless files. CDs will appear a bit later because I’ve crashed my release date and it’ll take a while to get them made.

This is certainly a more open way of doing a music release than in times past.

I’ve decided to put the release of ‘Mir’ back to 15th March because time has run short and I want to make sure I’m 100% happy with it before it goes out. I’ve never released a record on my own before and I think I underestimated quite how much needs to be done to make it happen properly. Sorry to anyone who is disappointed.

Fine by me; can’t wait to see what you come up with this time. Do you have much work left on the album or is it mostly the logistical work of figuring out distribution?
