Meh! Not sure I even want my promo [description: sent out BEFORE the official release to promote the album] anymore..feel rather let down by the band, no excuse really..
They didnt send the promo copies out to us before the actual release date for filesharing reasons. I got mine a day or 2 after the release so I would check if I were you, as for getting on the bands case….come on, they’re ace at music and the stuff will come eventually, whats the rush, chill yer boots, you could listen to Ott’s Mir if Younger Brother have upset you so much you cannot even listen to them…oh really x
Got my Vaccine CD today and of course, like usual, it is cracked. Thankfully they wrote the signatures on in the inside sleeve and not on the jewel case.
I swear Twisted is the worse when it comes to simple shipping instructions. Everytime I order a CD I ask them to put some extra packaging over the CD and they never do it.
Probably 90% of the CD"s I’ve ordered from Twisted come broken when shipped to the States. I swear if I lived in London I would help them learn how to pack a CD for shipment and show them how to produce posters to sell.
God forbid if I ordered the Shpongle mask, probably arrive in a million pieces.
@Soundvision: Haha, maybe it’s the US postal service? All CDs i’ve ordered have been packaged the same way other companies package them. If that’s good or not is subjective, but even the Swedish postal service hasn’t been able to break them yet
Anyway…
Thank you Simon, Benji and Raj for the signed CD that arrived today!
I hope you think it was worth the job because i really appreciate it. Thank you very much!
I havn’t listened much yet. The artwork is lovely.

I beg to differ. I have had 2 broken cases out of the last 3 sent. Not from twisted. The one from Twisted was intact So it’s either english and german postal service who broke them or the common dominator is the Swedish postal service and they give them a good battering when it arrives here. hahaha

I have no doubt that it could be the US Postal Service, wouldn’t surprise me one bit. Either way though, it doesn’t matter. It is up to the shipper (Twisted Records) to properly pack the product when it is time to ship. I ship things all the time at work and you’d have to be an idiot to stick a CD in an envelope and send it to England and expect it to arrive perfectly.
Luckily for Twisted I am taking the signed insert out and having it framed with some other memorabilia. If I wanted to be an asshole I could complain and make them send me a replacement but I’m more generous then that.
Recently they messed up on my pledge and didn’t send me the right product. Someone from Pledge/YB contacted me and asked if a signed copy of Last Days of Gravity would suffice and I agreed. I told them to put some extra packaging in there to ensure it didn’t get cracked. They said no problem and that it had been packed extra good. Sure enough it showed up and there were no cracks and it was perfect.
A little bubble wrap goes a long way and Twisted has yet to figure that out despite me writing in all caps with every purchase “PLEASE USE EXTRA PACKAGING, EVERYTHING YOU SEND ME GETS CRACKED.”

Everything I’ve had sent from Twisted is always in a bubble wrapped package. Not had a crack yet. I’m pretty damn sure I’m not favoured amongst other people who buy from twisted and that each package sent out are the packed the same.
I’m gonna +1 on the bet that it’s United States shipping—I ordered Shpongle’s The God Particle and the jewel case came cracked. Fortunately for me, I pledged for YB outtakes and B-sides so got Vaccine as an uncrackable download.

That’s great and I wish I was that lucky. All the packages I’ve gotten from Twisted have come in plain, slightly padded envelopes, much like the ones I can get here at the US Postal Office.
As I said earlier, everything is a moot point. I didn’t crack the jewel cases cause I’m the receiver. It doesn’t matter how lucky others have been cause I’m only referring to what I’ve received and out of the 10 CD’s I’ve ordered from Twisted, 95% of them have had cracked jewel cases and that’s no ones fault other than Twisted.

Now I’m just saying this to be pedantic & fuck with you but you realise 95% of 10 is 9,5. So does that mean both front and back were damaged on 9 cases and on the 10th only front or back was damaged?

My 95% was figurative language referring to most of my discs being damaged but you already knew that. You’re grasping at straws at this point.
I know you’re a Moderator and you might take offense to my opinions on Twisted’s shipping methods but that’s okay. You can twist this either way you want but the fact is that CD’s I’ve received have been cracked and I’ve been generous enough to only gripe on a message board instead of demanding my money back. Cracked jewel cases are at fault of the shipper and anything trying to pass that responsibility to me or a post office is simply being delusional.
Don’t get me wrong, I love Twisted and I’ve spent a lot of money on merchandise, music and traveling around the world to see Twisted artists at various venues and festivals. Call me crazy for being a little disappointed that when my favorite record label’s CD’s arrive in the mail they are almost always cracked. Maybe you’re idea of being a good fan is “deal with it or be quiet” but I beg to differ.
