Not impressed really…

I get kind of annoyed with the ‘SHINE SHINE SHINE SHINE SHINE’ parts, like I got annoyed with the guitar ‘wheep wheep wheep wheep’ in Night Astray. And compared to that track, the drums in this track sound kind of standard/predictable. Maybe I have grown too accustomed to progressive rock and metal to really like this. On the other hand, I want to wait till the CD is in my hifi player before I give a final judgment; this mp3 through my cheap computer speakers on my on-board sound-card don’t do the track much good I suppose

The rest of the track is alright-ish. It balances nicely between light and dark sounds and feelings, but nothing impressive (for me) indeed. I suppose it’s not really my cup of tea.

Respect for Simon, Benji and Ru though. It takes courage for them to do this, and they are enjoying this, and I get the impression they will win quite a few fans with this direction

hmm, sounds like a synth pop song. kinda reminds me of Depeche Mode’s newer stuff. i dig it.

I totally agree, I think some long term fans are quite suprised at the change of direction, Facebook was a bit colourfull to say the least in response to the track but granted I think they will win over many new fans with the album and tour..best of luck to them.
