It’s great without a doubt, but there’s two tracks i really don’t like - One Day… and Nice Little Place. First things first - I’m not a fan of reggae/dub at all, and the first track is way too much into the classic dub direction for my tastes. Might be Ott’s dubbiest track yet.. any opinion on that? Nice Little Place is just… i dunno, boring. I’m a fan of ambient music and it’s not a bad piece at all, it just can’t keep my interest throughout its run. I’m sure i would have loved it back when i was a regular weed smoker, lol.

The rest though, is phenomenal. Adrift In Hilbert Space is my favorite track, and prolly Ott’s best track yet. The glitchy part towards the end is just mindblowing, i love shit like that. The other tracks, are great too. I don’t mind the slight dubstep influences, Ott did a great job including them into his style. Thankfully he didn’t make the mistake of making a pure dubstep album, like the new Phutureprimitive (god that albums sucks).

So anyway, yeah that’s my opinion. It’s my favorite Ott yet. His previous albums both had just a couple tracks i really like, this time it’s 5 of 7. I’m just not into dub, sorry bros (and Ott).

Haha well, I suppose it’s a great compliment for Ott that someone who does not like dub still likes the majority of the album wink

Heard it a few times now, and really like it. Have to say though that Skylon is still my fave (by a whisker).

ROFL how the fuck can someone be into ott but not like dub?

in my opinion ott is the king of dub these days, although i’ll admit that he is in that position because his take on it is so eclectic.

don’t get me wrong, power to you, Jonas. if you like ott you’re a friend of mine. but i just find it amazing that you can like him given how dub-heavy his music is.

CDs have arrived.

They’ll be on sale in the next day or two.

Thank you for your patience.

P.s. It’s not ‘dub’ music or ‘dubstep’ or ‘psybient’ or any of that nonsense. It’s just music.

P.p.s. It’s perfectly logical to like some tracks from an album and not others.

happy this is finally out.  Almost forgot about it after it got put back a bit etc.  Good thing I wrote it down someplace.

Well executed and refined stuff from Ott. Great to have these sounds on rotation again.

I think I’m even more floored by the realization that Damion Psyreviews is active again from reading this thread.  Awesome. Big fan.
(He seems to be floored by the whole self-released/digital/bandcamp/whatever thing Ott has done too…funny..)

Thank you Ott.

To mark the special occassion of ‘Mir’ I though I’d do a mix of my favourite tracks from each album and Hallucinogen in dub, the track list is looking sooo nice…:-)

I think Ott has a very dry sense of humour.

This album just keeps on growing on me everyday.

I was to restless the first time I heard ‘A nice little place’, but when I had more muse the other day, it felt like a perfect day at the beach. You know, like a very noisy place with children laughing and screaming, water splashing from all directions, on the other hand it’s totaly peaceful to just lie there dreaming and getting baked in the sun. You can even be totally stoned, and noone gives a damn. Freak or not freak, it just doesn’t matter…

... sigh…

Bought the CD as well. Finally I can see a practical use for digital downloads (that are free with physical purchase) - it lets you survive those few days when you’re impatiently waiting for the actual CD to arrive to your mailbox smile

My favourites so far are:
- Owl Stretching Time (anyone found the reference to Monty Python’s Flying Circus episode with that same name?),
- The Aubergine of The Sun (though I’m still in two minds about that Adam F-like vocoder),
- One Day…

But they’re all great and it’s definitely one of the highlights this year so far. Thanks Ott!
