  Hello all -

I have just uploaded a new downtempo psy track to my Twisted Sessions page!

http://www.twistedsessions.com/Brian_Isaac//

This is the track that I’ve probably spent the most time on, and is definitely my favorite.  This track, titled Liftoff, begins with a burst, then a buildup of strings and synthesizers.  A groovy, glitchy drumset is then introduced, which leads into a synth ‘solo section’, and the track finally bounces out and fades away with a few final psychedelic thoughts.

Let me know what you think!

Thanks,

Brian

Hey sounds good. Here’s my impression: you are a very skilled young musician, and have a solid understanding of song structure, rhythm, really all the fundamentals. What you need is to play out live more because the little micro-tweakery that you do in those settings is going to bring lots of additional depth to your production. I would say that you have to make your piano sounds a bit more sophisticated. But very nice indeed. I could enjoy lying in a wooded glen surrounded by batiks listening to your tunes.

Thank you very much and thanks for your input!  I will definitely take a look at doing that, very good idea.

That’s definitely the intention.  Thanks again!

Thanks for that, wow, that was pretty good!!  I agree with Jahful, in that the only thing I would say is tweak those piano sounds a little bit, just sounds a tad like someone’s practicing in the same room where a great track’s being played on the hifi wink

“It is by attempting the impossible that we reach the highest level of possible”  probably misquoted, and by a great British author, I will find the right reference..

Thanks for the input!  I may think just re-record it or tweak the piano a little brighter/clearer.
