I saw Posford posted this on the Shpongle page a few days ago, in my fantasising state of mind I thought it was a teaser for new material, unfortunatley I came back to earth head first with a bang.

Still a great track..

Yeah, but he said it should be out already. I can’t find any info on it anywhere.

I’m dying to buy the other unreleased Metal Sharon stuff!

There’s a downbeat remix of Balloon Dance, plus a tune called Cybertron that sounds like Flexitones crossed with Shpongle…

i can hardly express how glad i was seeing si doing great (really great) music.
i wouldnt say that ‘vaccine’ traumatized me, but it surely didnt change my perception of the old psy-gods from twisted to the better..

I believe its on the Camp Bisco 7 mix that is floating around out there.
Would be more than happy to pay for some Metal Sharon.

Thats my favorite one and I wanted it on my MP3 but till the date am unable to have it in MP3, if anyone can help me somehow kindly let me know about that.

affirmative. it’s on the camp bisco vii mix, the second track.

(wow this is a hell of a set. the rap-part comes in unexpected but is not displaced at all. i wonder how this is even possible and it provided me with the first time ever listening of an early version of ‘i am you’.)

@ vyomkesha the rap-part I think is the song Konkrete by the Disco Biscuits (I believe its the Ott remix)
I listened to this mix several, several times before Shpongle 4 came out just to get a little tease of the new Shpongle at the time.
Im thinking Walking Backward Through the Cosmic Mirror was on there too. Such a great set.
I remember being parked in line at Camp Bisco 8 hearing someone blaring this mix on their car stereo. Felt good to be around other Shpongle heads, kind of a rare thing where im from.

thanks for the info. it’s not the ott remix though. simons aura must have tricked me into liking rap in this case

walking backwards was my favorite track of the set. i like the dancy part. it doesn’t have that high frequency effect you can hear after ‘it’s shpongle back again’ in the studio version. when i first listened to the album (pirated. now i own the vinyl (: ) this little effect put a huge smile in my face. hehe

yeah i enjoy the music you hear coming from the cars on the parking-lot of a goaparty.

The Metal Sharon material was done years ago now, I know Simon P says him and Merv don’t get the time to get together to finish it but with the tracks done I wish it would be released.

I have two bootlegs of the Balloon Dance remix: One from Ministry of Sound’s “New Wave Radio” show in 2005, and the Camp Bisco recording.

As for Cybertron, I have only ever heard it live (played by both Simon and Merv on separate occasions) but Merv has confirmed the title and artist!

Where did you get the New Wave Radio mix?

Ministry of Sound hosted downloads of each show, but the New Wave Radio program is now defunct and no longer on the MoS website.
