“As an artist, I don’t really see how synching somebody else’s music with somebody else’s film has much merit (was it an editing project for a film/video program?). However, the clips from this film look really interesting and I think I’ll try to watch it sometime. It looks really bizarre, like a mix of Pierrot le Fou and Conan the Barbarian, with some early 70s drug references. Peculiar. And of course the Shpongle is top notch.”
As an artist, I realize that almost all artistic works, plays, literature, and human knowledge in general, is built off of previous works in some way. The way I see it, is even though I did not give rise to neither the film nor music, I did create the union of both works. The act of which is an expression of my self and spawned a completely new entity separate the two works that beget such.
Also, I don’t have the money to buy my own camera, nor can I afford decent audio production software, so it is difficult to find a medium to express one’s self in such a horrific economic climate.
