After listening I am left totally sad, confused, and a bit angry. I really don’t know what happened to YB but it seems they have gone of the path and not in a good way I am sorry to say Benji and Si ..... I’m just shocked and want to cry because YB is so close and dear to my heart ...... I hope they can make the money they need to make with this stuff but please no more ..... Sorry Si I just feel so let down and disappointed ...

No its defo. not Flock of Beeps or Last Days. But it is still beautiful and amazing. I think a lot of the people that listen to this album that have been into Twisted for awhile will not like it at first. Give it a chance, it will grow on you. Dont most good albums seem to always do this? IMO Vaccine sits very differently, but very nicely next to the last two albums. Thanks to Si and Benji, great job guys!

The last Sphongle e.p. was pretty Twisted , in my opinion! Hopefully well have a wide musicspectre to look forward too in the future, things evolve - thats life. When will they ship the Pledge Music CDs I wonder, and also I wonder if we’ll get the regular or the bonus version. That is if you ordered a CD and not a private concert or some of the other swankier treats.

I believe the Pledge page said that CDs will be shipped on the date of release.
Wonder if the other Pledge items will be sent on that date as well?

I’ve been streaming it a few times now and have to say I really like it. It doesn’t have anything to do with psychedelia or trance, but who cares? It’s a great album.

I’ve listened to the streamed album once so far, I think I’ll wait for my Pledge album and savour the moment.

I knew what to expect from YB since I saw them live @ Ozora ‘10…Except “I am A Freak”, “Happy Pills” and, ofc, “Psychic Gibbon”, they played the new material. And I liked it.
No, it’s not psy-trance anymore, like FOB, even less than LDOG.
Psychedelic - depends on one’s taste.
But, IMO, it is a great peace of music, and Si and Benji didn’t disappoint me. Maybe it’s not the YB we knew, but it still has a Twisted and unique touch to it, and we can accept it or not. And that’s all there’s it to it.

My thoughts so far:

Crystalline - very nice and relaxed track to hum along with
Shine - not really a fan of the singing in this track but for the rest its ok
Pound a Rhythm - fun track smile
Safety in Numbers - this is one banging track!! quite psychedelic and a nice punch of electronica in there
Night Lead Me Astray - again not really a fan of the singing in this track, but I like the drums and background guitars
Train - the ‘intro’ is amazing. And the singing (and its melody) is quite good! Think the 2nd half of the track is weaker
Spinning into Place - best track on the album, especially at the end… its wonderful
System 700 - haven’t really formed an opinion on this track yet
Tetris - see above comment

As a great fan of Simon and Twisted it is hard for me to accept the fact that there will be something that Simon created and i didn’t like.
In the case of Vaccine I must say that after hearing the album a few times and seeing the live show i just can’t connect to it, it’s just has too much of what i don’t like in music. As an electronic fan since my teen years I liked electronic music BEACOUSE there were not many words and the music allows you to float to any direction you choose, no boundries. I relate to vocal samples or a bit of live guitars but in a proportion, I think that Last Days Of Gravity is the ultimate combo of electronic and “live” music and it is a master piece. anything beyond is going over the edge and neglecting the electronic fundemental line. Simon and Benji have the right to do what they want and what feels right to them but as do I by saying my opinion.

Well, at least you can support your opinion and you make complete sense, so no arguing with that smile (as opposed to people who are just like ‘omg they are selling out and this is not psychedelic! YB is stupid!’). Instead, now we can all feel genuinely sorry for you raspberry (and really I do because I can somewhat relate to what you’re saying. Somewhat).

I’ve listened to the album a few times now.  It’s such a huge departure from A Flock of Bleeps, it’s almost difficult to believe it is the same group of musicians - but that’s not a bad thing.  I think it’s cool they are exploring a new style and I’m sure they’re having a lot of fun playing shows as a live band so I support them.

Musically it is a great album, although there are some parts that are harder for me to connect with.  I hope that they get some mainstream appreciation for this album.  I’ll keep listening, it is growing on me.  I enjoy it in a completely different way than I enjoy their earlier stuff, but it’s still enjoyable.

I’d like to hear some more “Younger Brother Remixes” (similar to the remix they did of Night Lead Me Astray) on some of these tracks with more of an electronic style.

I couldn’t resist listening to “Train” on youtube, although I preordered Vaccine. Two thumbs way up. It’s an amazing song.
