I love the attention to the details! The tracks’ names really sound like actual hallucinogen’s grin I WANNA HEAR FRACTAL SUCHI!!!

Beside, i’ve heard or read somewhere recently that simon actually really wanted to pull out a new typical 4/4 trancey release, once he’ll be over with the release of vaccine, touring etc.

Anyone followed that?

Yea he posted on his facebook that he would produce some new Hallucinogen at the end of this year. No talk of a release though.

He performed a killer Hallucinogen live show at Rainbow Serpent 2011 (australia)

The session drummer from Shpongle added some live drums to the set, and Simon really looked like he was having a good time.

A solid handful of new tracks were thrown in, and they were all awesome.

I reckon he’s leading up to something.

That is VERY exciting, especially after the lane change that is Vaccine! (not saying it’s bad or good, just different, and left me still needing new psy…)  Does anyone know if Simon’s posted any new Hallucinogen tidbits online anywhere?

“It is by attempting the impossible that we reach the highest level of possible”  probably misquoted, and by a great British author, I will find the right reference..

i saw that set, and it was underwhelming in many ways.

it looked extremely improvisational, which was really exciting and made for a good show, but it also looked like he wasn’t trying and the new tracks came across as quite banal (i.e. a simple riff repeated ad nauseum). the live drums were probably the highlight of the show.

for a while i was thinking that it looks like he wants to really make people dance again, but i hope that he takes it seriously and really does some work on the new material. although given how long it’s taken since the last hallucinogen, i really doubt simon will release stuff just for the sake of it.

hopefully 2012 will be the year of hallucinogen, and if so, hopefully he will play at the eclipse festival in november smile
