I’m listening to “Delina Did It” for the first time and right now I’m hearing the last few seconds of the song for the first time. It has ~clearly~ blown my socks off already and here I am barefoot again, wondering if anyone could give me some info about the track.

Who sings it?
What is it about - - - fairies?
Who wrote it?
Who produced it?
Who sings on it?
Who plays the cello?
Where can I find it?
Is the opening sample Carl Sagan musing about astrometaphysics?
Can anyone decipher the vocals, or do you think they’re perhaps meant to be undecipherable?

i guess that song is just too twisted for the new consumably desirable yb-style..

The track is from Vaccine Deluxe Edition which is available only on ITunes, I think (the edition also contains Crystaline and Spinning into Place accoustic versions).

The opening sample is from Stanley Unwin’s Goldiloppers And The Three Bearloders (http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6RRv35Ig2mg).

And yeah, Delina hits the spot. My personal favourite right after Psychic Gibbon.

It does have a very Last days feel to it, I love the weirdness of it.

One of their best tracks I think. This is the kind of creativity that characterized YB and twisted. But I have to say that I also love the different kind of creativity that characterize the other tracks on ‘Vaccine’ . I just wish that “Delina Did It” was on the CD version as well.

Just checked Itunes and don’t see any extra tracks, deluxe or otherwise. Same music as on the cd.

Also, why is the record label listed as SCI Fidelity Records?

I noticed that on the CD, I guess that to split profits equally between the 3 of them as moving forward as a band.  Also notice that the cd states YBCD2 not 3, probably due to that fact that Flock didn’t feature Ruu on vocals, fair enough really.

As another point on that, some bods on Facebook and here have said along the lines of ‘oh I hope they go back to the Last Days style for the next album’.  Personally I don’t see that happening at all now as they are set up as a band and Ltd company to support that, so they are going to actively involve Ruu with more vocals tracks. I’m not sure if any tracks were played off Bleeps on the tour as they then can’t involve the band much apart from Happy Pills.

I did wonder why Delina wasn’t on the album but then as pointed out it wouldn’t really fit. Again here is a clear distiction between the electronic side of YB and the new band/vocal side….just a thought.

Ah yes that’s right, I guess then there’s little if any material played at gigs from Flock…

  Wow, great listen. This sounds very Promethean more than YB.

  The intro was great. It got somewhat stagnant until 3:25. Then at 3:55 it got VERY good and ended on a +. I love that synth that fades in around 3:55, you know the celestial accelerating one that creates the vibe of spinning (, in a vortex of musical diamonds).
