This just appeared on Facebook on the Shpongle and YB pages..great news.  I think getting on the label will be tough in terms of originality and standard but look forward to hearing new releases!  There were some great artist realeases a while back..

fuckin sign Yggdrasil and have them release another amazing album, just like their debut.

I think I would rather have Twisted release a new compilation with old artists than sign an album with a new one…

If not, my vote goes to Cloudwalker…

IMO Yggdrasil sounds too much like Shpongle and much of the other music that people posted doesn’t seem like Twisted material.

i feel like yggdrasil took Shpongle’s style and kinda developed it further and turned it into something of their own. sure shpongle seems like their main inspiration, but that is how genres start. also i heard some of yggdrasil’s new, unfinished tunes, and it seems like they’re going for less and less world music - and more psychedelic/experimental elements in their music.

and if you think yggdrasil sounds too much like shpongle for simon and benji to enjoy/sign… argaman won’t have much luck either.

Surely, twisted guys are going to have a shitload of tracks to listen thru. ^^

They don’t want “generic” psytrance, but I’d be surprised to see any psytrance artists at all signed. With an upcoming (fingers crossed) Hallucinogen 3, who out there would not pale in comparison (not counting Benji of course)? Haven’t really heard much that isn’t derivative…point me towards something that isn’t please if you know of it.

I’d love to see established artists release music on Twisted, even if just an EP. Jon Hopkins maybe?

I think Duotekks album would have been well worthy of Twisted but I don’t think they’re into that sound at all now.  I think Ishq’s skills are as good as Posford but again probably too ambient for the label, I’m sure they will be swamped with tracks.
