Hello twisted people,

I recently set up an irc server for likeminded friends to chat, it’s at irc.domoretri.be and we usually hang in #domoretribe

I was wondering if enough people would be interested in forming a #twisted channel to make it viable.

I’ve created a #twisted channel on the server, I guess we’ll see if enough people join to make it happen.

No worries if it doesn’t just thought it might be cool to be able to chat to like-minded psy-heads in a more interactive way.

lol, you need an irc client.  if you use windows, mIRC is very popular.  If you have a mac, Coloquy is good.  Then you just put the server address in the server field:

irc.domoretri.be

then connect and join the channel #twisted

if it doesn’t prompt you for a channel just type:  /join #twisted

another way is to use mibbit in a web browser:

http://chat.mibbit.com

click the small yellow “Server” link and put:  irc.domoretri.be     in the server field, #twisted in the channel

nick is whatever you want to be called

i did not realise that people still use IRC, except for dodgy purposes…

what’s dodgy about chatting to people?

most forums im apart have an irc. id probably check it out.

It’s still very popular in Linux circles.  Even without X, you can still use IRC.  Screen & irssi.

I like pidgin personally, it goes well with e17.
