I don’t usually join forums, or get involved in things such as this, however, I feel that this is a genuinely interesting, unique, and original branch of live entertainment and music production.

After seeing some video footage of the other live shows, and listening to some of the music, I am happy with what I hear, and I feel it is very quality material!

It reminds me of B.T. Which is a huge compliment, but it has more acoustic influences, and I am digging the pulsating sound that seems to come from each track.

Admittedly, I found a torrent for it, and I don’t know what the laws are with artists requesting to remove torrents, but if that is possible than maybe you want to remove the torrent….. or not. I did find a link back to this webpage, ironically, and therefore joined the forum, and after reading about the record label not doing so well, I felt empathy, genuinely, because I am an aspiring artist, so I can imagine what it would mean to be an aspiring LABEL.

So I will be showing support by purchasing the album a.s.a.p. But as for now, as most broke people know, torrents may be a necessary evil (after all I would have never joined the forum, or heard full-length tracks if I had not found that link).

This should not start a debate about torrenting, so please don’t respond to my general comments about how I found this site and etc.

Moreso, I want to know who from NC is showing up! I’m pretty excited about tonight because it is literally going to be my first live event I have ever went to (besides shitty local library shows in Hendersonville) and since I’m 20 years old, that’s a pretty big deal. But I don’t think I’ll be let down grin

Cheers to a sweet website, original music, and making it in the music industry! (Because Twisted is clearly succeeding well enough to get as much attention as it has, and such a large forum for a musician I didn’t even realize was ALSO Infected Mushroom until about a week ago. So props.)

Anyways, this is also my first post so I had to make it long and explanatory haha.

Asheville hippies, lets hang! :-D

Hero, pleased for one to “meet” you, loved your post smile  As for what constitutes high compliment, anyone who has reasons for making a high compliment, whatever their gauge, makes a lovely and well beyond just valid compliment, in my opinion smile  As to not starting a diatribe about bit-torrent,  I expect you’re in good company and likely won’t see that here, as it’s to be found in multiple places on here already smile  *love love love* to you!  Endure, Shpongle, forever, please smile

“It is by attempting the impossible that we reach the highest level of possible”  probably misquoted, and by a great British author, I will find the right reference..

I can’t speak for anyone but myself, but posting the torrent doesn’t seem helpful to anyone but leeches.  I know for a fact that piracy has done a lot more harm than good for many of my favourite artists, especially the good people of the psychedelic movement.

After the show, my friends took me to some random bar (I forget the name, as I mentioned previously I don’t really get out that much haha but that will change now grin  ) and Simon just walked right by and sat down and started hanging out a table away from me. So that was pretty nifty, especially since I got to see the brain behind the music up close and personal right after my first viewing of a live performance. I didn’t say anything though haha, all I’d have to say is “Great show, interesting music, and sexy women with light-up hoola hoops.”

But yea, I had a great time, and I thoroughly enjoyed my first show having been Shpongle grin
Gotta love Asheville.

Most electronic musicians would indeed take that as a compliment, but Shpongle is the pinnacle.

We all have opinions. tongue laugh
And I don’t believe Simon is the kind of guy to have that sort of ego, I’m sure he’d feel like any type of comparison to something a person deems “good” would be a compliment. Even if he personally didn’t like the comparison haha.

In retrospect: Zip Zap Zoobity Bap!

P.S here’s some footage I took from the show:

Looks like you had a great time, the whole Shpongletron set up looks awesome.  Agree with Jaful that Shpongle is the pinnacle but each to their own, Posford production skills are a totally different level.

Well all the artists I know upload their own material onto piracy sites and get more bookings due to increased exposure.  If piracy is hurting you its time to change your business model because the current conception of copyright law is toxic and regressive.
