Why are we all just sitting here not getting more majorly involved with each other? Granted, it’s not a Friday (which is when I’ve - okay, previously - been drinking), and granted I’m not sober now (which might be a topic, all on its own), but I can’t help thinking WE COULD ALL BE CONNECTING WITH EACH OTHER A WHOLE LOT MORE. WE’VE OBVIOUSLY GOT A LOT IN COMMON. Yah, I’m drunk, but… No, forget the drinking. I come on these forums (and a few other places) because I am unavoidably driven to connect my mind to other people’s minds. (And, for sake of argument, same driving reason I listen to Electronica.) Look, forget the music… Crazy or not, *misguided* or not, I believe the lot of you to be the people I should be talking to to move forward. Why couldn’t we all do that. Mightn’t that be something? SCREW EVERYTHING, I mean it, all I’ve said, whatever of you’ve said you want to eliminate (or keep it all, I love all your minds), WHATEVER, just LET’S START TALKING. WAY MORE. Somebody pick a topic for this thread, please——— I personally want some true immersion. Here’s my lame starter howdoyado: so today I cooked a pasta sauce that I plan to use to make pizza, I’m making the mozzarella cheese tomorrow from raw milk. My cousin was on the tube today, Masterchef Season 2, tho it’s already on and I haven’t watched a minute of it yet. I hope in the next ten years I’m able to move some object with my mind, but at the same time I’ll be happy if I just keep advancing my belief in the “impossible.” Does anyone else feel like this world is poised right at this moment before a massive jump into something new? Please, let’s talk. About WHATEVER.
I don’t know if you have noticed these forums aren’t the same as most other forums. For example I’ve been on here for nearly 5 years and got the most topics of 1300 something. I’ve seen alot of other forums with members who have wrote tens of thousands of posts. Where they get the time I don’t know.
I appreciate you want to engage in cyber converstation with other Twisted fans but the way you may kick start that is actually starting a well thought out topic yourself instead of getting drunk and posting in the hope us lot will think of something for you.
But here goes just to satisfy you.
Favorite Beatles track and why. If you don’t like the Beatles, why not?
because of the pun in their name. (as english is my second language, i actually only recently realised what was going on there - needless to say i wasn’t impressed)
I agree with DMT, with other forums and how many posts people have is to be honest a bit sad but if it makes them happy then fine. I do have a life outside of this forum and sorry but I can’t be bothered with ‘dribble’, sensible posts and topics I’ll reply to and 99% of the time on here they are.
Have a great day and yes I do like some Beatles material.
@dimutech—you’re right. and thank you for saying it nicely
No worries

Favorite Beatles song: Hey Jude. I like the lyrics, I like the way it builds in the end, I like the sadness it makes me feel.
Yes that is a beautiful track. I’ve sung that a few times when out and there just happened to be karaoke in the pub ooooops. Yes I had a few drinks also hahaha.
Maybe there are old topics that you can find which tickle your interest. Maybe they could get re started so to say
Unfortunately I’m not a visual dreamer or can lucid dream. It would of been cool to have met though. I’m more of an emotions dreamer if there is such a thing. When I wake my mood is determined on what I’ve dreamt. However I rarely remember them.
I feel like if the thread isn’t kind of related to Twisted in even the tiniest little way then it’s not really a Twisted forum thing?! Not to say I don’t like to go on about this and that, I would just feel self-conscious if I started a thread (even in Generally Off-Topic) about, say, my favourite modern artists (as of this second I’m gonna go with Neo Rauch, Ernesto Neto and Olafur Eliasson).
Beatles, well I used to love them, and they definitely made some amazing music (Day in the Life is probably my fave) but between my dad and my two brothers we’ve got like 20,000 albums (cds, reel-to-reel tapes, 78’s, 45’s, etc.). There’s just no one band or musician that deserves the kind of adulation the Beatles get, and some of their stuff is so schmaltzy (Paul!). No offense to them. They were genius musicians, but we don’t need any golden idols. And doesn’t a Rolling Stones’ tune like Stray Cat Blues just make you wanna get it on? Like get all high and sweaty and have animal sex? The Beatles don’t really have that effect.
Right now I’m listening to Marty Robbins’ El Paso, now there’s a lovely tune, Country just ain’t what it used to be.
I never have been a big Stones listener. I chose the Beatles because it happened to be on the radio at the time. I do like them also. Have bought a good few albums. I prefer the later stuff.

I love karaoke I believe Simon P bowled in NYC recently, wonder if they had karaoke there, too, and if he went for it? I bet he’d be a blast to watch ‘roke-ing! LOL (keeping it Twisted related, I’ll be a good girl from now on hahah)
As for your comment that you’re not a visual dreamer, what exactly does that mean? I have such a wild imagination (and a frighteningly rich fantasy life) that I can’t even imagine people not having that visual quality! (hah, if that wasn’t some kind of oxymoron!!) But emotional dreaming’s cool, too. I don’t think there’s a kind of dreaming I DON’T personally do…!
I do like the Rolling Stones’ sound, too, but they were a little before my time and I guess I never hung with a specifically Stones crowd such that I gave them a really good listen. I’m not really a “pioneer” type music listener, in that I don’t ever really try new stuff all on my own, but once I latch onto an artist (or genre) then I tend barrel ahead with it and leave my providers wondering what the devil has gotten into me
..they definitely made some amazing music (Day in the Life is probably my fave).
+1
Not a big fan of The Beatles myself but I do love “Day in the life”.
A Hard Days night reminds me of some good memorys too but out side of those I avoid The Beatles.
The Beatles…they are something else. At least after they got over singing “Love, love me do” that was all just simple love sell out stuff to me. Like who didn’t sing love songs back then? Sgt Pepper’s provided some trippy songs worthy of mention on the Twisted site. Within You Without You is just like…why even try at life anymore. They fill my heart with a sad ego breaking grace that only The Beatles sort of monotone singing can do. There is something funky about it all and what it is is something I don’t really want to know. Nah, I do want to know :p but I am a man that prefers the mystery of things over solidity and reality. I like to have all the possible answers in a pile and to leave them in that pile hehe…
