the thread about sphongle samples was awesome, anybody know the origin of some Ott samples?

In particular i would like to know where the samples come from in “One day i wish to have this sort of time”, they are awesome and it would be cool to hear them in the original context.

Thanks for the link!  I knew it was Watts but could never find the actual clip.  Can’t wait for this thread to get started!

THANK YOU! ive never heard of this guy, im gonna have to a little research he is awesome.  He has a way of making it sound so simple, i just feel like a weight has been lifted off of my shoulders just listening to that.  Is the first sample in the song from Alan Watts as well?

thank you cloudwalker, i cant believe ive never heard of this guy unitl now.  What is crazy is about a week or so before i first heard “Mir”, me, my girlfriend and my friend went on a hike.  We found a really cool view up on top of a huge rock, and while we were up there i was sugesting that we do what Alan Watts is saying to do with sound, but with light instead.  Basically just looking out over the forest and the sky and the clouds and the birds and trying not to identify them or think about them.  Just to see color and light.  Then about a week later we drank some Bridgessi tea, and i heard Mir for my first time.  That turned out to be the scariest night of my life, things went horribly wrong, my girlfriend almost died, it took us to hell really.  But it only did that because there was no other way to get the message thru.  Anyway thats another story, thanks agian for the link!

i also discovered alan watts thanks to ott, and i now have pretty much every recording one can get, as well as a few books. i’m not spiritual (except in a new age way raspberry), but i like reading about spirituality, and when it comes to comparative theology alan watts is the man. i haven’t come across anyone that can explain things as well as he could.

watts was also influenced a bit by bertand russell, who is pretty much my favourite historical person.
