Nice long post! I look like a hippy, peace and love are my mantra, I love pot and carrots and I used to dig the Dead. But I’ve worked at the same place for ten years (a cooperative!) and now I can’t stand hippies. Same with punks. That’s why Jello Biafra wears a suit now; if it’s all about how you look, you got nothing. Most hippies/punks (same thing usually except punks are angry) are just screaming sell-out at everyone while they eat the sandwiches Mom made. I do love people who have counter-cultural values and retain them into their adult lives, so if you still look like a punk or a hippy when you’re 40, well then, we’d probably get along.
