Do you use any auto tune(modify your vocalists in anyway) in smoked glass and chrome/ other tracks

you dont answer a question with a question. ofc i heard it. slash i’m not asking about the vocoded tracks. Rather the ones with vocals in foreign languages. (382 seaside, smoked glass and chrome…) My friend and I have been arguing about it sense he heard the song(he thinks its all auto tuned i dont) Trying to see who is right/

No need to get jumpy here…

The vocals are from a few very rare sample CD’s with vocals of original indian and african singers. Those singers have learned to sing from very early age on, having learned it from their families and other professional vocalists. Many of them never heard about auto-tune etc.

On thee other hand I can imagine that Ott retuned the whole samples here and there, when it had to fit to other instruments. So it is both, perfect vocals and artistic freedom.

It is of course HIGHLY autotuned!! But he doesn’t use it to correct the pitch, he uses it to add harmonic layers to the original melody, to create a chord feel.
