Hope it’s better than The Floor’s Too Far Away, which I had on in the car this morning. Not their finest moment…

That’s exciting news. The previews sounded like another strong album. Yum Yum Tree (2009) had some very good highlights too. They always let their songs evolve as long jam sessions. I guess that’s why some albums turn out fantastic and some just okay.

im yet to hear anything ozric that is not completely mind blowing and amazing, but then again i only have 9 out of about 30? cds, they have made so much music its almost overwhelming.  Although I do think you have to be in the right state of mind to fully enjoy it.  Its very common that Im not that impressed by an Ozric song the first time I hear it, but then listening to it again at the right time helps me hear it in a different way.

For me it’s Spirals In Hyperspace, which is a brilliant album in my opinion. Everything they released before and including it is fantastic.

The Floor’s Too Far Away  and The YumYum Tree  are nice, but not as good as the rest. . .

Anyway, looking forward to the new one.

Cheers !

Some of you guys just love to talk shit and suck all the beauty and mystery out of music.

For your information Steve, it is only YOUR OPINION that their last good release was hidden step.  This is not the truth.  Floors to far away was great, and Yum Yum tree is one of the best ozric albums of all time.  It is amazing, if you are open enough to recieve it.

Perhaps their music is just floating above your head in wavelengths you cant percieve.

I own every single cd and have heard them for what they really are.  Ozrics is some of the best stuff in the world, In my opinion, better than shpongle, even though i really love shpongle.

Sorry to bring up negative vibes, but i think people on this forum really kill the experience of the magic and wonder of the music, and just love to talk shit and diss on every cd that comes out.  Why not just take each record for what it is, and not be so critical to evalutate it?  Wheres your badass new cd that is so much better than what the ozrics have been doing?  Theres more productive shit that you could be doing than aimlessly and cluelessly dissing on a band.

Er, everything we write is personal opinion.

That is presumed.

It’s my personal opinion! - that’s why I began my sentence, “For me…”

True, its your opinion, your entitled to it.

It is my opninion that you are wrong.  YYT is one of my favorite cd’s of all time, edd is a wonderfully odd genius.

No matter how great the artists are, or how amazing the new cd is, there will always be a few that say this or that could be better, and this didnt jive with me etc.  No big deal, it doesnt take away from the true beauty and power of the music.

Hope you like the new one steve, best wishes.

Hi harmalosa,

I hope I do enjoy the new Ozrics CD, they’ve been a very important band in my life.

You asked me “Wheres your badass new cd that is so much better than what the ozrics have been doing?” You also said, “Theres more productive shit that you could be doing than aimlessly and cluelessly dissing on a band.”

There’s a small number of links below that you could follow to find replies to your questions. Perhaps you would let me know your conclusion after you’ve read them.

Hello sir,

those are links to reviews you have written.  Not links to breakthrough music material you have written.

Its obviously more comfortable to review music than wright it.

I also do not have time to read them, and prefer to listen to music for myself instead of read reviews, as i think it takes away from the mystery and magic of the concept the cd is trying to communicate.’

Also i would say the car is a terrible place for critical listening.  You cant judge the quality of an album, based on listening to it in a car.

Also its psychedelic music, so any review that doesnt take into account the psychedelic aspects and is not written from the viewpoint psychedelic experience to the music, is not relevant to me
