Unitywebsizeart.jpg

The eighth album from Blue Lily Commission features lots of sequencing, synth textures, and an appearance by Erich Z. Schlagzeug on drums. “Unity” is a single track of approximately an hour, passing through a number of moods and variations. One for fans of OTT and Indo-dub generally…

I knew I heard your name before, so I looked around the house a bit, and guess what I found in one of my closets:

P1010306.jpg

I bought it back then from rubbish records I think. I remember that I listened to it a couple of times and enjoyed it, but for some reason it disappeared. The jewel case was broken when I got it, so I had to replace it with a nice blue one. Man, it’s been a long time since I first got it.

Will listen to it again this week. Do you have anything to say/share about this album ?

I do remember that it sounded very organic and spacey. . .

Hugs from Israel grin

Cheers !

Wow, there aren’t many of those in existence!

That’s one of the early Mooch albums, recorded in 1996. It was a very special session, we set up a load of gear (all five members of the then band), made some tea, then improvised around a number of sequenced loops. I went home with about an hour and a half of music on a DAT tape, extracted the best twelve sessions, then me, Cal and Garry improvised with synths and instruments over that. The result was a multi-layered organic trip!

Very happy days…

The album isn’t available now. I really should look into having it available through Ambientlive Records.

Bl***y internet, no respect for the eightfold wheel of the year…

Thanks for the insight man smile

Also read the words on the little booklet, sounds interesting. I also really love the artwork. It’s actually what made me buy the album. Looking forward to dive into it again.

By the way, what is the arabic caption says ?

CHeers !

It’s “Mooch” in a kind of fake ethnic script!

Thanks for the words and support, glad to see the music is out there…

If you have any difficulties with this album, please let me know, as the upload had a couple of problems - seems OK now, though…
